Product Overview

Based on the ultrasonic principle, the Mitech MFD350B Ultrasonic Flaw Detector with 320*240 TFT LCD can quickly and precisely test, orientate, assess, and diagnose a variety of faults such as cracks, grease, and air holes in the interior of a workpiece without causing any damage. Mitech MFD350B can use in Both laboratories and the engineering field. It may satisfy the need for general flaw inspection in the manufacturing, metallurgical, metal-processing, chemical, and other industries with a range of 0-6000mm.

Working Principle

When a flaw appears in a workpiece made of homogeneous material, the defect will reveal the interface between the defect and the workpiece’s other media. The pulsating ultrasonic wave will create reflection when it comes into contact with the interface because the acoustic resistance is different there. The fault depth in the workpiece will then be represented by a reflection waveform at a specific abscissa point on the display screen. Due to various imperfections, each of which reflects the nature of the defect, the height and form of the reflecting wave will change.
